The Beckham Law is the commonly used name for Spain's special tax regime for qualifying workers, professionals, entrepreneurs and investors who become tax resident after moving to Spain. Instead of the ordinary resident income tax rules, eligible people may opt to be taxed under special non-resident rules for the year of arrival and the following five tax years.
CUESTA can review your position before you relocate, explain whether the regime may fit your case, prepare the documentation and coordinate the next steps once Spanish registration begins.
The regime is optional. Eligibility is assessed individually and statutory filing deadlines apply.
Ask CUESTA about your caseSpain's international telework route allows qualifying non-EU nationals to live in Spain while working remotely for companies outside Spain. The requirements differ for employees and self-employed professionals, and limited work for Spanish clients may be allowed in certain professional cases.
Some employed international teleworkers may also qualify for the special inbound workers tax regime, but the visa and the tax regime are separate applications. Eligibility is not automatic and depends on the working relationship, recent residence history and filing deadlines.
CUESTA can review the immigration, tax and administrative steps before you move.
